This policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

3. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies: These are temporary and expire once you close your browser (or once your session ends).
- Persistent cookies: These remain on your device for a set period specified in the cookie or until you manually delete them.
- First-party cookies: These are set by the website you are visiting (i.e., by InstaView).
- Third-party cookies: These are set by a domain other than the one you are visiting, for example, by our analytics providers or advertising partners.
4. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for various purposes, including:
- Ensuring the basic functionality and security of our Website.
- Understanding how visitors use our Website, allowing us to improve its performance and user experience.
- Remembering your preferences to provide a more personalized experience.
- Supporting our marketing and promotional efforts.
InstaView provides cloud-based, AI-driven solutions for online interviews, foreign language support, scheduling, candidate assessments, and conversational AI. Our cookies help ensure the smooth operation of these services when accessed via our platform.
5. Types of Cookies We Use
We categorize the cookies we use as follows:
5.1. Necessary Cookies (Strictly Essential)
These cookies are essential for the operation of our Website and platform. They enable core functionalities such as security, network management, user authentication, session management, and accessibility. You cannot opt out of these cookies as the Website cannot function properly without them.
Purpose: To operate the core functions of our Website, maintain security, and allow you to navigate and use its features.
Examples: Session cookies for user login, security cookies, load balancing cookies.
Consent: Not required as they are strictly necessary.
5.2. Analytics Cookies (Performance Cookies)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve the performance of our Website and our services. We use Vercel Web Analytics for this purpose, and only with your consent. Where we enable further analytics, we will use Vercel Speed Insights and PostHog on the same basis.
Purpose: To collect information about how you use our Website, such as which pages you visit, how long you stay on them, and what links you click. This helps us to improve our Website and user experience.
Examples: Vercel Web Analytics, which we use, is cookieless — it stores nothing on your device and counts a visit from a hash that is rotated daily rather than from an identifier kept in your browser. It runs only once you have agreed to analytics cookies. PostHog would set cookies to track page views, user sessions and site performance metrics; it is not loaded on this Website.
Data Collected (may include): Anonymized IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages.
Consent: Required. You can manage your consent through our cookie consent banner.
5.3. Functional Cookies (Preference Cookies)
These cookies allow our Website to remember choices you make (such as your username, language, or the region you are in) and provide enhanced, more personal features. For example, they can be used to remember your language preferences or display settings.
Purpose: To remember your preferences and settings to enhance your user experience.
Examples: Language preference cookies, display settings cookies.
Consent: Required. You can manage your consent through our cookie consent banner.
5.4. Marketing Cookies (Targeting Cookies)
These cookies are used to track visitors across websites. The intention is to display ads that are relevant and engaging for the individual user and thereby more valuable for publishers and third-party advertisers. They may also be used to measure the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns.
Purpose: To deliver advertisements more relevant to you and your interests, and to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Examples: Cookies set by third-party advertising networks or social media platforms if we engage in such activities.
Consent: Required. You can manage your consent through our cookie consent banner.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our Website may be set by third-party services we use. We do not control the setting of these cookies and suggest you check the third-party websites for more information about their cookies and how to manage them.
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights: We use Vercel for website hosting, and its Web Analytics to measure how our Website is used, with your consent and without setting a cookie. Where we enable its performance monitoring, Vercel may set cookies to ensure the optimal performance of our Website. For more information, please review Vercel's Privacy Policy.
PostHog: Where we enable PostHog, we will use it to analyze how users interact with our Website and services. This helps us identify areas for improvement and provide a better user experience. For more information, please review PostHog's Privacy Policy.
7. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several ways to manage your cookie preferences:
Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit our Website, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. You can use this banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies, or to customize your preferences.
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. You can usually find these settings in the "options" or "preferences" menu of your browser. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
Please note: If you choose to block or delete cookies, some parts of our Website may not function properly.
8. Data Retention
The length of time a cookie remains on your device depends on whether it is a "persistent" or "session" cookie.
- Session cookies are deleted once you close your web browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. The expiry dates for persistent cookies vary but are typically set for a period ranging from a few days to a couple of years.
Specific retention periods for cookies used on our Website will be detailed in our cookie consent management tool.
Our record of your choice. When you make a choice in the consent banner, we store that choice in a necessary first-party cookie named iv-cookie-consent. It holds your decision for each optional category above, the date you decided, and a version number identifying the set of categories you were asked about — nothing else, and no identifier for you. It expires six months after that date, and it is set only once you have made a choice: no cookie of this kind is placed before you decide. We use it to avoid asking you again on every page you visit, and to be able to show which choices we were asked to respect. If you delete it, we will ask you again on your next visit.
9. International Data Transfers
Information collected through cookies may be processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this is the case, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data in accordance with GDPR requirements, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions. Vercel, for instance, operates globally, and data transfers will be subject to their data protection safeguards.
10. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last revised.
